LiveTrack Animal Transport Solution (LATS) – is a fully integrated RFID based livestock tracking and locating system designed for the agricultural supply chain. This complete system enables governing agencies, farmers, producers and transporters to track the movement and transportation of livestock throughout the early stages of the supply chain.
Syscan's new LATS is the ideal EID (electronic identification) reading solution for large and small animal transporters. This system integrates EID readers in the truck cargo area as well as a simple wireless system for transmitting and storing data. With the touch of a button, animal EID tags entering the cargo hold are stored. Captured data can then be sent on to governing bodies such as Agri-Traçabilité Quebec.
The transportation of live animals is a vital sector in the agricultural supply chain; each day, thousands of animals are transported to and from farms, auction sites, slaughterhouses and other premises.
Now LATS enables governing bodies at the state/provincial and federal levels to deploy a fully integrated farm to slaughterhouse traceability system. Another important step in insuring food safety.
